Pizzeria Paradiso DC Restaurant Review

March 8, 2012

Overall Experience:

After lunch out at Ping Pong as well as a stroll through African Art  Vicky and I finished the day (and weekend) having dinner with our mutual friends Ryan and Sarah who we have not seen in quite some time. As couples I guess we think alike because both parties agreed that a 12′ pizza and salad would be split equally between males and females alike. The best part is the opportunity to swap slices, which, although makes no difference in quantity, in terms of variety, is like 2 for the price of one. We had a nice dinner, nice catching up, and left with our stomachs full.

Restaurant Facts

Address: 3282 M Street Northwest  Washington, DC 20007

Website: http://www.eatyourpizza.com/

Meal At A Glance:

What type of meal was it? Dinner

Itemized Bill: $17 pp Bosco Pizza, Siciliana Pizza, Insalata Italiana, Insalata Paradiso

Specifics:

Quality: * * * * Vicky makes a fine pizza and we’ve had pizza in Italy, so I tend to be harsh on this matter, but I have to say Pizzeria Paradiso lives up to the name. They had a wide variety of pizza toppings with various ingredients.

Price: $$ In terms of what a dinner will usually cost you, splitting a 12′ pizza (and delicious pizza at that) as well as a salad is a great deal for two people looking to dine out but not overdue it.

Service: We interacted with at least 3 different waiters, but overall no complaints in this department.

Interior: Good blend between the bustling pizzeria environment one might expect and the level of privacy to make for an intimate dinner setting

Alcohol: Did not partake though there was a full bar and drinks menu with an extensive beer menu.

Entertainment: N/A

Location: In the heart of Georgetown, which is not particularly metro accessible and generally can be tough to find parking in, but we had no problems this time around.

Miscellaneous: They don’t take reservations or seat you until your entire party has arrived.  Dinner rush fills all tables quickly even on a Sunday night.

Free: Free olives brought to the table upon seating.

Would we go back?: YES!

    I like D’s guest posts!! 😀

I share pizza orders with Somebody (my partner) very often. I think it’s great to do that because I always want to try so many pizza flavours and makes me difficult to choose just one. This way, I can “steal” a slice from everybody and still have the same amount of pizza 😉

And it’s great to see which places are good for eating out in DC!
